You can reduce your operating and maintenance costs by improving heat rate and unit availability using SEI’s acoustic pyrometer.
Our systems are non-intrusive, reliable, accurate, rugged,
and long lasting. Systems are engineered and made in the USA
for industry worldwide. We also conform to European CE mark
standards for safety and radiated/conducted emissions.
You can relieve your company from the periodic replacement and all the maintenance of other flue gas temperature measuring equipment. SEI’s patented Acoustic Pyrometer will provide real-time gas temperature measurement, spatial temperature distribution profiles, temperature graphs, statistics, and more.
More reliable and accurate high temperature gas measurements
will improve industrial processes in a wide variety of industries,
including refineries, chemical, waste-to-energy, biomass, fossil
fuel plants, or most any boiler, furnace or kiln. Boilerwatch®
is Fault Tolerant with state-of-the-art Digital Signal Processing.
It also has analog, digital and dial-up modem interfaces for
both local plant control systems and remote supervisor and/or
remote factory service.
We are the global leader in Acoustic Pyrometry, and will be happy to provide you with more information. Contact us by mail, phone, fax, or e-mail.
| The Technology |
Compressed air creates
high intensity sound waves directed inside the firewall.
Using our high temperature industrial equipment combined
with our Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and software,
the sound’s flight time is measured. The average
gas temperature from wall to wall in the radiant or convection
sections of a boiler, kiln or process heating furnace
is calculated. Because it is digital and non-intrusive,
it is the most reliable and accurate gas temperature measurement
system available. For the complete theory, see The
Technology.
For an example, a large boiler was in operation with the
flue gas temperature near 2450o F. The actual
statistical & digital chart recording has been reproduced
below. |
For full size graphs see Statistical Temperature Graphs. |   |
