Boilerwatch® MMP
The MMP is our top-of-the-line acoustic pyrometer. Rugged and
long lasting, it is maintenance-free in most applications, relieving
your company from the periodic replacement and/or the maintenance
of other temperature measuring equipment.
The MMP, coupled with our TMS-2000 Software, can provide vivid visual information on current or historical flue gas temperatures and temperature distribution in your combustion process. Or, the MMP could measure temperatures in up to eight flue gas streams and send that information in real-time to any distributed control system (DCS). The applications are numerous.

For those demanding applications requiring on-line planar spatial temperature distribution maps or multiple independent path temperature measurements, the upgraded MMP system is the answer. Temperature Distribution Mapping
The Boilerwatch® MMP
system is designed
to provide a two-dimensional spatial temperature distribution profile
(or temperature map) of a horizontal planar area within a boiler
or furnace, typically at the furnace exit. By placing between 6
to 8 Model 3020TR acoustic
transceivers in various locations on three or four walls around
the perimeter of a furnace, an array of path temperatures are obtained.
In the example below, two transceivers are located on each of the
four boiler walls, yielding an array of 24 path temperatures. A
variety of other transceiver arrangements are possible to support
temperature mapping applications
for many furnace types.
SEI’s powerful and flexible TMS-2000 software reads this array of path temperatures and automatically produces a 2-dimensional map of the gas temperature distribution within the planar area of the furnace. TMS-2000 also provides may other features, and operates on personal computers and laptops with Windows 95/98/2000/XP and NT operating systems.

Multiple Independent Path Measurements For those applications requiring more than two path temperature measurements, Boilerwatch® MMP is the solution. In independent path mode, the MMP functions similarly to the Boilerwatch® SP system. It, however, supports up to eight (8) individual independent gas temperature paths instead of the SP’s two path capacity. Each path can be physically located in a different section of your boiler/furnace or on different boilers/furnaces in the same plant. Temperature readings are shown digitally, and time trended, archived, & displayed by MMP System Manager Software. Readings are also available on eight 4-20 ma current-loop analog channels from the PCU. These analog channels can be fed directly to a distributed control system (DCS) or other devices for closed-loop control purposes.
